From today passengers arriving or departing Mackay Airport will have an additional ride share option, with Uber joining Ola and Sheebah on the precinct.
“Already popular with locals in the Mackay region, Uber, being able to officially pick up and drop off at the airport terminal will provide more choice for our passengers as air travel continues to recover from the downturn of the last two years” said Adrian Miles Head of Operations at Mackay Airport.
Ride share drop off is adjacent to the check in area and for those arriving, near the bus bay.
Ride share is just one mode of transport available to travellers, with taxis, hire cars and buses also operating at Mackay Airport.
“With Easter and school holidays around the corner we are expecting an influx of visitors to our region, both tourists and those visiting friends and relatives. Being able to offer multiple transfer options is key to our customer service offering at Mackay Airport” added Adrian.
All transport operators servicing Mackay Airport meet agreed national guidelines.
