Departure Areas of the Terminals are closed after the last Flight Departure.
Arrival Areas of the Terminals are closed after the last Flight Arrival.

All Terminal areas reopen daily in accordance with the Arrivals and Departures.

Security

Mackay Airport is a security controlled airport and operates a Transport Security Program in accordance with Australian Government legislation and guidelines. Security measures and procedures are established to protect and safeguard civil aviation, employers, employees, the travelling public and visitors to the airport against unlawful acts, unlawful interference, terrorism and sabotage.
